What this covers. This notice explains what happens to information you send through the contact form on this website. It is not the privacy policy for Aqua Meter's metering and billing services. That document is separate and is being prepared with Ontario legal counsel. If you are an existing customer with a question about your account data, please contact us and we will answer directly.

What the form collects

The contact form on this site asks for:

Name and email address: required, so we can reply to you.
Phone number: optional.
Building or company: optional.
Your message: whatever you choose to write.

Nothing else is collected. There are no hidden fields.

Why we collect it, and what we do with it

We use this information for one purpose: to read your enquiry and respond to it. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

How your message reaches us

When you press Send, the form passes your message to Resend, an email delivery service, which sends it on to Aqua Meter as an ordinary email. It then sits in our email account like any other message. Resend is based in the United States, which means your message crosses the border in transit.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of your visit (including your IP address) to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and there is no advertising pixel.

We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages get read. It counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you or following you to other sites. It is the only third-party script on this site.

Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so simply loading a page does not hand your details to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Your message stays in our email for as long as it is useful for the conversation and any business relationship that follows it. If you would rather we deleted it, ask (see below).

Your rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to the address below and we will handle it.
